Investment Management

Turtle Creek Trust provides multi-asset investment management services for high-net worth individuals, institutions, endowments, and foundations. We seek to build highly customized investment plans that fully account for each client’s risk tolerance, cash flow needs, and investment timeline. We emphasize a discretionary approach to management, with each client partnering with a Turtle Creek portfolio manager that oversees the full spectrum of the investment process including investment policy formulation, ongoing portfolio management, and portfolio monitoring and communications.

Turtle Creek’s investment philosophy emphasizes thorough risk management, minimal portfolio frictions such as excess trading, tax efficiency, and a longer-term focus on valuation and potential return across economic cycles. Our view of risk is the potential for permanent impairment of client’s assets through an investment. While risk is inherent in the investment process, we seek to minimize it by building properly diversified portfolios and investing in corporations exhibiting significant competitive advantages, financial strength, an established history of growth, and above-average returns on invested capital. Our equity investment process utilizes a proprietary research process focusing on the intrinsic value of every potential investment, seeking to best balance both risk and return by investing funds only at attractive discounts to our estimates of a security’s value.
